Our Twenty-Fifth Month - Sept 2020

The pandemic and limited stock availability, compared to the high volume of buyers - continues to be the hardest thing to manage as an agency.

Spring has arrived; in typical Toowoomba Spring fashion with a bounty of beautiful deciduous trees bursting into colour... and this year, with a little pandemic craziness thrown in for good measure.

September as a month in Real Estate is typically the month where sellers will plan to sell (because things look nice) and buyers are keen to buy; because things feel a little happy, because they can be settled by Christmas or because there will be minimal interruption to schooling schedules with the kids. All things considered though, it’s a busy time.

The pandemic and limited stock availability, compared to the high volume of buyers - continues to be the hardest thing to manage as an agency. Some say it’s a good problem to have and while I agree, it must be so hard being a buyer in the marketplace right now, I’ve never seen the local market so competitive.

We finished out September just a little (three quarters of an average sale price or so) above our quarterly target - so it’s good to be on track for the new financial year... it makes my coach happy too. October for us is looking enormous though, with a lot of our new stock arriving to the market and a lot of styling work for Louise - which when combined with the 5-10 sales that should happen, creates a lot of work for Alison.

It’s been such an interesting journey watching these last few months unfold and I feel that the story won’t get any more mundane any time soon.
