Heritage-listed Gabbinbar Homestead is a magnificent, historic estate established in 1863. Set amongst many acres of manicured established gardens, towering ancient trees and expansive lawns, Gabbinbar Homestead is the perfect wedding venue, offering privacy & seclusion.
The name 'Gabbinbar' was chosen over 150 years ago and is an Aboriginal word meaning 'peaceful place'.
The former home of sir Hugh Nelson (premier of Queensland in the late 1800’s) and the summer resort for Queensland’s Governors in the early 1900’s, Gabbinbar Homestead remained a private residence until it was lovingly restored and made available for destination weddings.
Couples and their guests can enjoy the luxurious Gabbinbar experience, with the ability to explore the Homestead itself, as well as the extensive gardens, stables, old school house and much more.
