Toowoomba City is the centre suburb in Toowoomba, containing its central business district.


With its leafy streets, good schools and convenience to shops, Toowoomba City is popular with families, students and mature couples.


The houses here are distinctive and filled with character, with charming colonial styles and Federation homes, as well delightful Queensland bungalows. While there are some apartments and units close to the CBD, as you move further from the city centre, single storey brick homes are more common.

Toowoomba City is great for history-buffs: there are 30 heritage listed sites within the suburb.


Toowoomba City also has a lively café scene, with funky little coffee shops & hidden laneways to explore throughout the CBD. The city centre is also home to an evolving outdoor exhibition of stunning contemporary street art - well worth a look!
